How do I start a new season?

The data contained in each league file corresponds to a single season.

When a season is finished, and you are getting ready to start tracking the new season, you should use the following procedure:

1.

Make sure that the old season's league file is still present in the LeaguePad directory.

2.

Launch LeaguePad and click New from the main toolbar, to start a new league, and choose a different file name for your new league file.

3.

Open your new league file.

4.

Configure the league settings from the League Configuration screen.

5.

Select Tools > Import teams.

6.

Select the old league file from the top list and import the teams (and players) data into the new league.

Since most of the teams of the old season will still be part of the new season, importing teams and players data from the old season's file will ensure that you do not waste time re-entering data that you already have.

You may need to add team and player information concerning the promoted teams or teams for which you do not have the data saved in another league file.

Once you have imported all the data you need, you may remove the old league file from the LeaguePad directory, and move it to a backup folder.
