Compacting league files

Since a league file is a database file, it sometimes needs to be maintained and/or compacted, if it is often accessed. This process helps ensure data integrity.

To compact a league:

1.

Display the league list (if you are currently viewing a league, click Open.)

2.

Select the league from the list

3.

Click Compact league. LeaguePad makes a backup copy of your league (renaming it with a .bak extension) before it initiates the compacting process.

Compacting a league file should only take a few seconds. It is a good practice to make a backup copy of your league files and compact them from time to time (for example every two months, if your league files are accessed frequently).
